While testing, The pro v1 delivered an exceptional distance of the tee with long irons. With the help of the newer core design. I have been able to consistently hit my driver 300 yards or more with the pro v1. The long game spin of the ball helped a lot to reduce the excessive spin off the tee, which allowed me to maximize my potential distance.
When compared to the previous generations, the newer pro v1 had shown improved distance on approached shots with mid-irons. The new core design promotes faster ball speeds while maintaining the spin levels needed for control around the greens
Spin Control
The pro v1 provides excellent spin control across shots. When I tested the ball with irons, the ball spun at a very high rate which was very awkward when compared to the previous generation. I couldn’t find out whether it was because of the new core or the hard consistency. But on most shots the new edition had a better spin control. Which helped a lot in controlling the ball flight in windy conditions.
In the second round, it was providing a similar spin on each shot but the new generation had a little more spin.
